Radar level meters harness the power of linearly varying high-frequency microwave signals emitted from their antennas. When these microwave signals make contact with the surface of the medium being measured, a portion of the energy is reflected back to the antenna. This reflection process allows the device to measure the frequency difference between the emitted and received signals, which is directly proportional to the distance from the antenna to the surface of the medium. Consequently, precise distance calculations can be made to determine the exact level of the medium.
