Ultrasonic flowmeter

The HL-UHF series is a widely used, universal and economical, clamp-on, time-difference ultrasonic flowmeter. It has a very simple installation method, without breaking the pipe or stopping the water supply, so that customers can easily and flexibly measure the pipeline flow. The product can also be equipped with a permanent installation fixture, without daily maintenance, and provide reliable and drift-free measurement for a long time. It uses the most advanced digital correlation technology and intelligent adaptive sound wave technology to make its measurement stability more prominent. At the same time, it uses the patented acoustic focusing technology to significantly enhance the signal reception quality of the product during continuous measurement. The portable/handheld ultrasonic flowmeter adopts a non-contact measurement method, has a large measurement range, has no moving mechanical parts, is not affected by the pressure of the system and the harsh environment, and has been successfully used in the measurement of fluids such as water, pure water, seawater, sewage, chemical liquids, river water, fuel oil, etc. The upper temperature limit of the standard sensor is 110℃. PRINCIPLE

How does an ultrasonic flow meter work?

When the ultrasonic beam propagates in the liquid, the flow of the liquid will cause a slight change in the propagation time, and the change in the propagation time is proportional to the flow rate of the liquid. At zero flow, the time required for the two sensors to transmit and receive the sound waves is exactly the same (the only technology that can actually measure zero flow). When the liquid flows, the sound wave transmission time in the upstream direction is greater than the sound wave transmission time in the downstream direction.

INSTALLATION METHOD

The V-type installation method is applicable to pipe diameters ranging from 15mm to 200mm (on the same side, and should not be installed far from the top or bottom of the pipe)

 The Z-type installation method is applicable to pipe diameters ranging from 200mm to 6000mm (on the opposite side, and should not be installed far from the top or bottom of the pipe)
